ESD Pilates, The Stott Pilates® Studio
Pilates fits perfectly in the mind-body experience of today: exercices for the whole body with focus on breathing, concentration, control and balance. Not the amount of repetitions of the exercices are important as in many fitness phenomena, but the quality of execution counts. This can only be achieved with classes using personal training or small groups!
Weither you choose matwork group classes or personal training customized for your body, it all is possible in the cosy ESD Pilates Studio in Grobbendonk (Antwerp). Overlooking the garden, you strengthen and stretch your body while your mind finds serenity.
Your personal trainer or instructor, Ilse Verbruggen, is a fully certified Stott Pilates® Instructor and has acquired the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge during intensive educations in Sweden and Canada. The ESD Pilates Studio is furnished with all Stott Pilates® equipment so that you can enjoy the full Pilates method of body conditioning.

For whom is Pilates?
Everybody, young or old, can do Pilates. As the exercises are layered on gradually, it is a very safe form of body conditioning. Weither you are an athlete, exercise regularly or haven’t done any kind of sports in your life, you can benefit from Pilates.
Dancers experience more control over their body and balance while performing a choreography, athletes can lengthen their muscles and strengthen their back, people with back issues or other medical problems find Pilates a very confortable way to get their bodies into shape again. Pilates helps you to prevent injuries but is also used in rehabilitation in order to regain optimal functionality of the body.
