Classes

The complete Pilates method consists of Matwork and exercices on Pilates equipment. Do you choose a group class with only mat exercices or a private class using the equipment or maybe do both? All depends on your body, set of mind, time and budget available.

mat classes

There are 3 levels: essential, intermediate and advanced (schedule). The technique and exercices are layered on so you have to join the group from the beginning in order to follow the class. You start with the 5 basic principles of Pilates of which the control of the abdominals and pelvis (center) are one. You build up the exercices gradualy. New exercices are added as you gain strength. Therefore drop-in classes where anyone can join the class after a couple of months are out of the question.

private sessions

For different reasons you might prefer to train privately: you want the undivided attention of your Trainer to get the most out of your Pilates class, you want more intensity thanks to the resistance on the equipment, it is not safe for you to be in a group class due to a medical issue, you just don’t like other people watching you when you exercice. During a short interview the instructor finds out what your body has already endured and your goals are noted. Your program can then be customized and started. It will continuously be altered and added on to as your body reacts to the exercices.

duet sessions

Do you prefer training 2 by 2? From September on our Studio will have expanded so you can chose to train together with your partner or a friend thanks to an extra Reformer and a Cadillac trapeze table. You will still receive a lot of personal attention but at a more favourable rate as a private session.

General remarks

  • Before starting Pilates, you need to inform us of all medical complaints and history. If you doubt weither Pilates is suited for you due to medical complaints, consult your doctor before starting the classes.
  • When pregnant, always consult your gynaecologist first. Have you never done Pilates before, it is not a good idea to start when you know you are pregnant.
  • Bring a towel and socks to every training.
  • Cancellation policy: Please call or email us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel your appointment, otherwise your session will be deducted.
